The ReSpeaker Mic Array v2.0 is an upgrade from the original ReSpeaker Mic Array v1.0. This upgraded version is built on XMOS's XVF-3000, a significantly more powerful chip compared to the previously used XVSM-2000. This new chip includes several voice recognition algorithms to aid in performance. The array can be easily attached to the top of the original ReSpeaker Core to significantly enhance audio interaction performance. The microphones in this version have also been improved, providing significant performance upgrades over the original 4-microphone array. ReSpeaker Mic Array v2.0 directly supports USB Audio Class 1.0 (UAC 1.0). All major Operating Systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux, are compatible with UAC 1.0, allowing the microphone array to function as a sound card without the need for a ReSpeaker Core, while retaining audio algorithms like DoA, BF, and AEC on these systems. ReSpeaker Mic Array v2.0 is an excellent solution for those looking to add a voice interface to their existing or future products. Additionally, it works well as an entry point for higher-level voice interface evaluations. The board provides some flexibility for customization upon request. ReSpeaker Mic Array v2.0 has two hardware firmware versions, one for speech algorithms and the other for raw audio data.
