Snapmaker IDEX 3D Printer - J1 features independent dual extruder (IDEX), ultra-high printing speed and smoothing optimization. Cast and machined parts are also elegant and robust, with linear rails, intuitive software and user-centric designs. Compared to a multi-material unit, IDEX bi-material quality printing requires less time to change filaments and therefore creates less waste. In addition, IDEX offers the two cleanest extruder solutions that prevent cross contamination. It creates a clean interface between the two materials, which adopts hassle-free removal and avoids stains and awkward mixtures along the seam. You can get the most out of two feature sets in one print. You can combine the strength of nylon with the flexibility of TPU for functional parts that can withstand daily wear and tear impressively. You can also print multipart objects as a whole. Since there is no assembly, the object achieves stronger interconnects, making it less prone to distortion. The J1 offers a best-in-class print speed of 350mm/s while providing high resolution prints. It is made possible by the optimization of vibration compensation technology. This technology reduces vibrations caused by high-speed movements and minimizes ringing to improve print quality. With a maximum acceleration of 10,000 mm/s², it offers the ability to efficiently realize small models full of details. During dual extruder printing, the non-working extruder preheats while on standby and starts printing immediately after the working extruder exits, significantly reducing your waiting time. Because the J1 pre-analyzes the movement directions of the extruder, you can avoid issues such as corner protrusion, providing better print quality at the corners. The excellent extrusion accuracy and high responsiveness of the dual direct drive assist the extrusion of flexible filaments make the deposition to control faster, smoother and more accurately. There is a built-in filament sensor to notify you and pause the print job in case of filament run out, nozzle clogging, and other anomalies that fail to load filament. The compact extrusion path of a unique design allows you to seamlessly print with TPU and many other flexible materials. Your personal assistant through setup and master assistant, with easy-to-follow instructions, file previews, and lots of details that cater to all your questions and needs. When the two hot ends touch the square opening on the heated bed, it sends electronic signals to suggest their exact position and J1 calculates the offsets between them. The J1 then automatically compensates for offsets during printing to ensure perfect XY alignment, which prevents layer shifting and increases the success rate of bi-material prints. It eliminates the long learning curve and saves you from studying multiple lines. Tap start and sit back for high precision! J1 can calculate distances between hot ends and heated bed using electrical conduction. This shortens the step of moving the calibration card back and forth while adjusting the Z offset. The J1's build plate is made entirely of flat glass, making your first coat smooth and sticky. Glossy glass on one side and PEI coating on the other which helps to make it for various filaments. The plate can be easily removed for added convenience for maintenance and print removal.
