TF03 is the third generation product of TF series. It is a ToF (Time of Flight) LiDAR sensor that can measure the distance to an object from 10 centimeters to 100 meters. As with all LiDAR sensors, your effective detection distance may vary depending on lighting conditions and the reflectivity of your target object. What makes this sensor special is its size and environmental operating range. Measuring just 44x43x32mm, the TF03 allows you to integrate LiDAR into applications traditionally reserved for smaller sensors and harsh environments, thanks to its IP67 rating. IP67 aka "Dustproof and water resistant" and operating temperature of -25~60℃. The TF03 is easy to run at just 5V and easy to talk to using a 3.3V UART at 115200 baud.
Note: This product does not use laser light for range. Instead it includes an LED and optics. Many such systems are marketed under the name "LiDAR", but it may be more appropriate to think of this device as the "Time of Flight Infrared Range Finder". It differs significantly from conventional infrared rangefinders in that it uses ToF to determine range, not triangulation, as Sharp GP series devices do.
