Incremental Optical Rotary Encoder - 5-24V/DC 400 Pulses

An Encoder (Rotary Encoder) can be termed as an electromechanical device that generates an electrical signal in response to sensed motion. They are electromechanical devices that detect the rotational or translational movement of the shaft to which they are connected, by means of magnetic, mechanical, resistive and optical technologies, and generate digital electrical signals from these sensed data and give analog or digital output. In projects that require high precision, it converts a motor's position, direction of rotation, movement speed, and axis into electrical signals and presents it to the user. Encoders are available as linear encoder (linear encoder) and rotary encoder (rotary encoder) according to different usage purposes.

The Optical Sensing Encoder, which is the most preferred and widely used due to its usage advantages, generates electrical signals depending on the interruption of the reflected light, thanks to the optical source inside the device.
